Game On His Problem With Jay-Z:

MempHitZ Issues Statement On Arrest
Rapper Game is one of hip hop's biggest drama queens...er...kings. The Compton emcee has been taking shots at everyone from Amber Rose to Lil B lately, but it was his dig at Jay-Z on the track "Uncle Otis" that got a lot of folks talking. Game finally opened up--sort of--and explained why he has a problem with Jay.
“I met Jay-Z a long time ago in the 40/40 Club and he seemed like a cool dude and I asked him something—‘How do you stay relevant?’—and I ain’t really like his answer. So ever since then I just kinda take shots here and shot there,” Game said in an interview with radio personality Big Boy.
When he was pressed for more information, Game backed off. “I’ll tell you off air, anybody else who wants to know, just follow me on Twitter and ask me.” But he later wrote down his reason for beefing with Jay-Z and had someone else read it on the air. His note allegedly read: “Most of you new rappers won’t last long anyway, maybe you should think of another lane.”

Birdman On "Watch the Throne:"

Birdman On ''Watch the Throne:''
Birdman shared his thoughts on Jay-Z and Kanye West's Watch the Throne album. The Cash Money founder says that the album reflects an older perspective in hip hop, and he still believes that hip hop is a younger man's game.
He also alluded to Lil Wayne and Drake doing something similar.
"It's older versus younger," Baby said in an interview. "I listened to a few songs [off Watch The Throne] and it feels like an older feel to me. I think with Drake and Wayne, they young. They young cats. You got 23 and 28. Then you got Jay-Z and them, who are older and really on their way out the game. Then you got Wayne and Drake and them, who are still youthful [...] So, it's two different types of music all the way across the board. But what they're doing is great -- I think it's great for the game, great for the business, great for retail as a whole. I just think when Wayne and Drake get together is going to be something real special also because we more youthful."

Jay-Z Explains Album Delays

Ja Rule Announces Album Release Date
Jay-Z explained the somewhat long delays on debut albums from several artists affiliated with his Roc Nation imprint. Most notably, Jay spoke on J. Cole and Jay Electronica's projects and why it takes time to craft a great album.
“J. Cole is pretty close, he’s coming out in September. He’s got a great album. Jay Electronica is working on a great album as well. He’s pretty close. Bridget Kelly just released — her debut song, ‘Thinking About Forever’ — For me, if you’re gonna come sign to Roc Nation, just realize it’s going to take a second. I’m into artists. I’m not really into putting a single out. It takes a minute to build artists. It’s just true. You can’t come off the street and make a classic. Rarely does that happen."
"Lauryn Hill was in the business for 700 years before she put out The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill," Jay added. "She had to go through some things. You have to go through some things.”

Jay-Z Almost Broke Glastonbury

Jay-Z Almost Broke Glastonbury
Glastonbury organizer Michael Eavis has revealed that the British music festival may not be around much longer. Eavis revealed that the festival has stayed afloat because it sells out annually--and it sells out because it lands huge stars like U2 and Beyonce. But he doesn't believe it can sustain itself in dire economic times.
According to Eavis, Jay-Z's appearance in 2008 was almost the festival's financial back-breaker.
“It’s on the way out. We've probably got another three or four years. Womad and Latitude are not selling out," he commented. "We sell out only because we get huge headliners. In the year Jay-Z played we nearly went bankrupt."
The festival won't take place in 2012, but it scheduled to return in 2013.

Rapper Jay-Z may be readying fans for the release of his collaborative album with Kanye West; but the Brooklyn legend is also already hard at work on his next solo project. Jay says his follow-up to 2009s Blueprint 3 will not disappoint.
""I know exactly the tone and the whole feel of the [next] album. Its different. Its not weird," Jay said. "They are really f**king good. I can tell you that."
Jay also added that he wanted the album to be done before his Roc Nation signees J. Cole and Jay Electronica release their albums.
"Hopefully," he responded with a chuckle. "I don't play that. We all competing for the same mind share. J. Cole and Jay Electronica are both making inspiring music."

Beyonce's Baby Talk

Beyonce's Baby Talk
Despite being the subject of constant false baby rumors, Beyonce doesn't duck the question of offspring when it's brought up. Discussing her personal life with talk show host Piers Morgan, Bey says that she could be birthing a little Jigga-yonce sooner than fans think.
"I always said I'd have a baby at 30," she said. "I'm 29. But I also said I was going to retire at 30. I'm not retiring...Only God knows [when]...I feel like 30 is the ideal age, because you're mature enough to know who you are and have your boundaries and your standards and not be afraid or too polite, but young enough to be a young woman. I'm so looking forward to it."

Beanie Sigel Explains His Absence

Beanie Sigel Explains His Absence
Beanie Sigel knows that he's been away for awhile. Despite making constant waves with his apologies and non-apologies to former friend Jay-Z, Sigel hasn't released any music lately. But the Broad Street Bully explained his hiatus recently.
He just wanted to spend time with family.
"I think it's all timing with me. I just had to go back," Sigel said in an interview. "For me, running constantly since I was first came on the business, I never had a chance to sit still. I got kids and everything. I had a couple issues in my life that made me have to sit down, unwillingly, and when I came home, I had a little paper trail. So just that time for me to be with my kids, I was missing out on a lot of things. I just enjoyed that and got comfortable in that zone."

Beanie Sigel Clarifies Jay-Z 'Apology'

Beanie Sigel Clarifies Jay-Z 'Apology'
Beanie Sigel is denying reports from earlier this month that he 'apologized' to his former friend Jay-Z for their longstanding feud. According to Sigel, he was just putting the situation behind him--but he never apologized. Beanie says he has nothing to apologize for.
“I never made a public apology, I talked to somebody from a magazine, and they brought that issue up," Beans said of the miscommunication. "You never hear me say ‘apology.’ What I said was, to stop that interviewer from asking me those questions, and everybody else who asked those questions,” he said. “I felt how I felt and I still feel how I feel. But, just letting it go for everybody else. Hustler’s number one rule is never lose your cool. I broke one of the hustler’s rules. Gangstas f*ck up, but at the end of the day, I still feel how the f*ck I feel.”
