Rapper Nas kept it short and simple when announcing the title of his forthcoming album. The project will be his first official solo album since 2008s Untitled and the first album he's released following his critically-acclaimed collaboration with Damian Marley, Distant Cousins. The rapper shared the name of the album on his Twitter account this weekend.

No further details are available regarding the album's release, but longtime Nas producer Salaam Remi is confirmed to be a part of the project.

Jermaine Dupri's New Show Premieres

Jermaine Dupri's New Show Premieres
Jermaine Dupri joins singers Taio Cruz, Leona Lewis, Donna Summer, Natasha Bedingfield and others as judges on the reality competition "Platinum Hit." The show features a rotating panel of judges and appears on the Bravo network. The competition focuses on songwriting.
The show premiered last night, (May 30), and it also features 12 unknown songwriters competing for a deal with Sony’s Jive/RCA imprint. The contestants take on songwriting assignments each week and complete the song in groups.
“Collaborations are essential to the show," said Jewel, also one of the judges/hosts. "It's a battle of ideas to a complete song. The awkward moments that [arise during the collaborative process] are essential to making it watchable."

50 Cent Joins "Detox?"

50 Cent Joins ''Detox?''
It looks like 50 Cent and Dr. Dre have put their differences behind them.
The former affiliates were reportedly feuding earlier this year over their rival headphone brands, Dre's Beats By Dre and 50's Sleek By 50; but now that 50 has dismantled his headphone line, it looks like the two are buddies again. 50 revealed that he has done some recording for Dre's long-awaited Detox album.
"I did a joint with dre for his album that's crazy. They were suppose to put it out this weekend but you never know with dre," he tweeted. "Soon dre got some heat RT @bigseano84: @50cent when is Dre album detox comin?"

Lil Wayne Explains "How To Love"

Lil Wayne Explains ''How To Love''
Lil Wayne recently revealed his creative approach to his single "How To Love." The guitar-driven song is unusual for most mainstream Weezy singles--Rebirth notwithstanding--and he knows fans may have been surprised by it. But for Wayne, it's all about pushing himself creativity and challenging hip hop's typical conventions. [video here]
"I can tell you that I’ve never had a single like it, and it’s an amazing song. It’s an amazing song.[...]When I listen to it I get goose bumps and I feel like the song is gonna take me somewhere that I’ve never been musically.”
“You know that if you come to a Lil Wayne show two years from now, you already know that ‘I’m gonna get rap — some of the best rap — I’m gonna get some guitar, I’m gonna get some singin’, I’m gonna get some dancin’, I’m gonna get some old-school music, and I’m goin’ to a show tonight,’" he added. "And I think that’s where this song is directing me to.[...]I am a musician, and a few years back, I noticed that I wasn’t just a rapper. And Inoticed that I didn’t want to do this just to rap. I do want to go down as one of the greatest rappers of all time, but I also want to go down as one of the greatest musicians of all time."
“When you think about it, Tupac is just known as a great rapper; Biggie is just known as a great rapper, Jay-Z — just known as a great rapper," continued Wayne. "I want to be known as that rapper that turned it all the way up and became the face of the music. When they make a billboard and put whoever they gonna put up there to define the word ‘music,’ I wanna be there.”

Keith Haring shoes by Nicholas kirkwood ( art now )

I clearly fell in love with the shoes designed by NICHOLAS KIRKWOOD two years ago. Strong, structured models and terribly FASHION! This time the English designer proposes us an explosive duet by using the universe very colored of the American artist Keith Haring. A collection which amazes and creates the BUZZ, because the mixture of universe of each upsets the codes. More than of simple shoes, here is ART! THANK YOU NICHOLAS!

Desiqual, London ( merchandising )

The guys at Desigual are clearly having far too much fun.  Their windows (at least at their Regent St. store, and this window in particular) ice-screams attention in between the bland stores either side of it.  Scheme after scheme here recently we have seen the unleashing their true creativity,  breaking through like a beacon of hope in this part of town.  They are, we would hope, being supported by the purse string holders of this brand and just about everyone else who thinks they need to have a say - we know how difficult it is to do these things - and what an incredible outcome this is.  This is a fun brand who obviously know who their target market are and know how to maximise an opportunity.  Fantastic guys..!
