Wale and Kid CuDi Reunite

Rappers Wale and Kid CuDi ended their feud earlier this year, and now the friends-turned-enemies-turned-friends again have collaborated on the track “Focused” from Wale's upcoming album, Ambition.

"We're 23 years old at this time, we're trying to figure it all out," Wale said of he and CuDi's friendship. "We went from not having sh-- to having money at our disposal, so it kind of f---ed up our friendship. He doesn't smoke as much anymore, but his name is Scott."

The two rappers reconciled via Twitter several months ago.

“I was like, 'Sup, man, how you been?' He said, 'I been good, man. I just wanted to get right to it: I know I've been acting kind of f---ed up and weird,' and this that and a third and all that other personal sh--. He threw that out there, and we just made amends. The next morning, he called me like, 'I just wanted to let you know I wasn't high or anything when I called you. I really meant it.'"

Wale Wants To Talk To Lady Gaga

Wale still has love for Lady Gaga. But he'd like to pick the brain of one of the most famous artists in the world; the D.C. rapper says it would be cool to talk to her about the business and how she sees it from her level.

But he says he has friends that are just impressed that they did a song together.

"My n*ggas always talk about that sh*t, especially the most muthaf*ckin' streets n*ggas," Wale explained in an interview. "They be like, 'You know you did a song with Lady Gaga, a real song.' It's cool, it's probably something that I'll probably use later to brag about. It's not much of an accolade if I work with somebody. I just wanna be respected for what I do...I don't even know if she talk to rappers -- It'd be cool to have a friend that was that famous and then she could tell me the weird sh*t that goes when you doing shows for a million dollars. I wanna know all the weird sh*t that goes on behind them contracts."

Rosa Acosta Vs. Wale

Rapper Wale got into it with model Rosa Acosta on Twitter over the weekend. Acosta reportedly criticized Wale's performance at a recent show and the D.C. rapper got a bit sensitive about her critique.

"Rosa you owe me 15%, I made you hot my n*gga...Don't submit your opinion to the public," Wale tweeted. "Your talent doesn't require a voice. We listen to real women in 2011, not industry slides...If your talent is your areola...you don't deserve an opinion."

"@RosaAcosta how bout I couldn't move..do u have any fans, or a bunch of n*ggas that wanna f*ck u following u?," he continued. "If ur talent is ur areola....then u don't deserve an opinion. Shoutout my sisters w/ that ambition n drive 1st. #salute"

Wale On Lady Gaga

Wale pointed out the fact that he played an 'integral' role in the emergence of Lady Gaga. Having had the eccentric pop superstar on his Attention Deficit album in 2009, Wale said he deserves a little more credit for helping to launch the phenomenon. "I made her whole career," Wale jokingly said in an interview. "It's one of those things; it's a moment that I hold near and dear to me, 'cause she's probably the most famous person in this generation right now. I don't think she'd probably ever get on a rap record again."

Wale On Rick Ross' Mentorship

Rapper Wale recently revealed just how much he's learned since he's been affiliated with Rick Ross' Maybach Music. The D.C. rapper says being Ross has given him a deeper appreciation of music and being an artist.

"I never knew how to get lost in music. I never knew how to just wake up, smoke a J, and play music all day," Wale explained when asked what he has learned from Ross. "I do that now. When I recorded [my 2009 debut] Attention Deficit, I treated the studio like it was a 9-5. I walked in there with my briefcase--which was my book bag--with my music, some energy drinks, and some weed. I come in at 11 and I clocked out at five no matter what I got done. Now, there's times where I left the studio at nine in the morning after I went in at six the night before."

Wale Vs. Bin Laden's Mistress?

Kola Boof--you know, the woman that was 'gettin' it in' with Osama Bin Laden, launched into a tirade on Twitter yesterday (May 23rd) against Maybach Music rapper Wale. Blasting the D.C. rapper for not embracing dark skinned women in his videos, Boof spewed expletive after expletive in what has to be one of the oddest and most ridiculous Twitter beefs in recent memory.

“There wasn’t a single Black woman in “Pretty Girls”…so what in the f— was he saying about African women??" Boof tweeted. "His own race?” @WALE is a little Punk B—h Nigerian Skin Bleacher who wants to escape his own people & gets PAID 2 do s. I know enough about @WALE …and he’s a LOSER a– Motherf—er in my book. B.o.B.'s Manager Discusses Wale Beef

There were reports that rapper B.o.B. refused to perform at a Washington, D.C. event if fellow rapper Wale was present. B.o.B.'s manager B. Rich is now addressing the rumors. According to Rich, the entire thing was misreported and a misunderstanding.

"As a manager I didn't want Bob to go on after Wale in his hometown at the birthday bash," he told XXL. "There's no beef, that's our n*gga, we wanted to bring him out during our set. Bob has no idea what's going on. He don't mind going on after or before anybody, this is a decision I made [as a manager]."

Rick Ross Was Inspired By Diddy

Rick Ross revealed that his inspiration for launching his own Maybach Music Group was seeing hip hop moguls like Diddy and Cash Money's Brian "Baby" Williams. Following their template, Ross has begun building his own stable of artists, ranging from rapper Wale to soul singer Teedra Moses.

"Building Maybach Music Group, building this empire, of course I was inspired by some of the earlier movements and earlier dudes that came along such as Cash Money [and] Bad Boy Records. To me, when I really think about the greatest era of hip-hop, that was the greatest eras of hip-hop; when I turned on the TV and saw Big, Mase, Junior Mafia, and the Lox. That was the most exciting era of hip-hop. I looked at the No Limit era and saw that camaraderie that they had, that unity, that brotherhood that they shared. I think it spilled over from [their] music," Rick Ross says.

Teedra Moses On Joining Maybach Music

Soul singer Teedra Moses may seem like an unlikely candidate to join Rick Ross' Maybach Music, but in a recent interview with Billboard, the songbird explained why she wanted to be a part of Rozay's stable of artists and what she likes about Ross' approach as a boss.

"If they had wanted something else they wouldn't have come for me," Teedra said. "This is not a situation like most labels. What Rick Ross is trying to do is build a real label not a rap group. He [Rick Ross] went out and got Wale. He's trying to have Wale do something different. There's an audience that likes Wale. Stalley has an audience who likes him. Ross isn't asking us to change or do something that we don't already do. He's picking artists that people cling to and he works that."

Rick Ross Compares Wale To Kanye

Rick Ross is still singing the praises of Maybach Music signee Wale. Ross has been high on the D.C. emcee since before Wale joined Ross' imprint, and now Ross is comparing Wale to superstar Kanye West. Ricky Rozay believes that Wale has the potential to reach Kanye-like levels of stardom and creativity.

"After spending months of my summer working with Kanye, I learned and seen so many different visions and ideas come to light," Ross told MTV. "I was there for 'Flashing Lights', when it was actually titled another title that me and Kanye went back and forth about. And when I think about Wale, I think about Kanye. And the kind of rhymes Wale has been laying down the last few months, since we been in the studio, I'm pretty sure there's gonna be a lot of similarities as far as the pictures that he paints."

"Of course, Kanye is one of the greats of our time," Ross added. "But I see that same potential in Wale."

Wale Talks Kid CuDi

Wale revealed that the root of he and Kid Cudi's brief war of words was their friendship. The two took shots at each other repeatedly over several months before publicly making nice via Twitter. Wale says they're better friends for it.



"We're close friends, and the closer friends you are with somebody the worse the fights [can] be," Wale said in an interview. "We squashed it. Everything good. He good, he good. He's taking care of his kid, working hard, working on his new album. He's working with a lot of the same people, he got a lot of new faces. His circle is significantly smaller, but sometimes that's what you need to do, reevaluate your circle."

Wale & Kid Cudi Squash Beef

Rappers Wale and Kid Cudi have been engaged in an alt-rap war of words for the past year or so. Things seemingly went sour after Cudi said that he and Wale didn't 'click' anymore, to which Wale responded that he didn't know why he and Cudi were no longer friends. After some barb-slinging regarding each other's rhyme skills, things quieted down. Now, it looks like the two are looking to put the tension behind them.

"@wale yooo," Cudi tweeted. "its never too late to make things right." To which, Wale responded, "@wizardcud yo. We back cuz ... GOOD x MMG ...of course"

Wale seemed to be hinting at possible future work between Cudi's G.O.O.D. Music and Wale's Maybach Music, imprints headed by Kanye West and Rick Ross, respectively.
