Nas Recording With Odd Future

Nas Recording With Odd Future
Nas is working with West Coast rap collective Odd Future Wolf Gang Kill Them All (aka Odd Future.) The Queensbridge rapper is specifically set to collaborate with Hodgy Beats, Tyler, the Creator and Frank Ocean. Ocean is apparently overseeing the track and Nas just has to put his verse on it.
"The song is almost finished; we're just waiting on a verse... I'm just stoked to be on a song with [Nas],” Hodgy said.
Though it is unclear whether or not this song is slated to appear on Life is Good--the upcoming album by Nas--or on one of the Odd Future affiliates' future projects, but Nas has been vocal in his praise of Odd Future over the past few months.

Eminem Praises Odd Future

Eminem Praises Odd Future
Eminem had praise for West Coast hip hop collective Odd Future Wolf Gang Kill Them All. The shock-rappers have drawn many comparisons to Em's earlier, over-the-top Slim Shady persona, and the man himself acknowledged the similarities between his younger self and the new crazy kids on the block.
"I think that from the stuff that I've heard -- I haven't heard a lot from them, I still have to go check out everything that they're doing -- but I've heard enough to know that it feels like they're pushing boundaries and buttons, and that's definitely one of the things that I'm familiar with, especially when I first came out -- I love it, I love the fact that they're doing that. And the dudes can rhyme."

Odd Future Linking With Soulja Boy

Odd Future Linking With Soulja Boy
Odd Future Wolf Gang Kill Them All is looking to collaborate with pop rapper Soulja Boy. The offbeat West Coast hip hop collective has reportedly reached out to the multiplatinum rapper. He says they want him on a song.
"Shouts out to Tyler, the Creator, he's chill," Soulja Boy said in an interview. "Shouts out to Taco. I chill with Taco in L.A. Shouts out to the whole Odd Future. The Super 3 from Odd Future, they produced a couple tracks from my last mixtape [1UP]. They doin' they thang and they doin' it originally from the ground up without the label, so salute...They already reached out for me to do a verse on a song. I just gotta do it -- They mess with [West Coast rapper] Lil B. I mess with Lil B. I'd do a song with them."

Gravediggaz Announce Reunion

Gravediggaz Announce Reunion
Horrorcore pioneers Gravediggaz have announced their reunion. With the buzz surrounding shock rappers like Odd Future Wolf Gang Kill Them All, the time appears to be right for the group, who virtually invented the style in the mid-90s, to reunite. Shabazz the Disciple, Frukwan, and RZA have already completed tracks. Prince Paul has yet to contribute, but is looking to take part in the project as well.
"RZA had called me last March -- he's like 'Yo, it's Gravediggaz time,' " explained Shabazz the Disciple. "I went down there; him and Frukwan (The Gatekeeper) already started on some songs. I went down there, did a couple of songs at his crib. Killah Priest was there. It was crazy 'cause me, Killah Priest, RZA and Frukwan was together in the studio. That was like '94 all over again."
"With everybody's schedules, it's kinda difficult to get everybody in one room right now. But, in the near future, it'll pop off," continued Shabazz. "It's almost done though, RZA told me all we need to do is three more songs, and it's a wrap. It was like a family reunion. It was like being away from your brothers for a minute, like being locked up. Like, I did a little 10-15, being away from my family, then I came home and I'm back with my family," the rapper continued. "It's a great feeling, not only for us, but for Hip Hop itself, because Hip Hop is suffering a famine. So, we're gonna create that balance that ya'll love us for."

Nas Is Motivated By Young Rappers
Nas says that younger stars are motivating him to step his game up and get to work on his upcoming projects. Name-dropping everyone from Kanye to Odd Future, Nas acknowledged that he's eager to see how his new work will fare in the current musical climate.
"I'm happy about music, it's pushing me back into the studio," Nas says. "I just love what's happening [in music]: I love Odd Future, [Lil] Wayne, Drake, 'Ye [and] Rick Ross. It's something that threatens my position. Or it makes me question what I'm going to do next. What kind of impact do I want have now that I've been in the business this long. It's a challenge, it's scary even. But I'm very comfortable. I'm excited to see what comes out of me... I'm ready."

Execs Bidding For Odd Future

Execs Bidding For Odd Future
OFWGKTA (aka Odd Future, aka Odd Future Wolf Gang Kill Them All) has been at the center of an ever-growing publicity campaign for much of the first part of 2011. According to reports, the collective's buzz is turning into very real interest from major labels. Many of the individual emcees within the group have signed deals, but Odd Future as a whole remains unsigned.
There are reports that Diddy's Bad Boy Records and Jay-Z's Roc Nation are among the imprints looking to sign Odd Future. Steve Rifkind, president of SRC Records, also is reportedly in the mix for signing the crew.
Frontman Tyler, the Creator is rumored to have made ridiculous demands to Rifkind on behalf of the group, asking for Randy's donuts, a megaphone and swivel chairs before they would agree to a sit-down.

B.o.B. Vs. Odd Future

B.o.B. Vs. Odd Future
Rapper B.o.B. didn't take too kindly to a line from Odd Future frontman Tyler, the Creator from the song "Yonkers." On the track, Tyler spit "I'll crash that f**kin airplane that that fa**ot n*gga Bob was in," a jab at B.o.B. and his chart-busting hit "Airplanes."
In response, B.o.B. has released "No Future," aimed at Tyler and his hip hop collective, Odd Future Wolf Gang Kill Them All. Tyler noticed the song and took to Twitter to give his opinion on it.
Whoa. I Don't Think The 'No Future' Song Is Even A Diss. But, Ive Never Heard Him Spit Like That. Took Me By Surprise, Cus Its Tight," Tyler tweeted. "Still Hate That Airplanes Song Tho. It Has The Same Chord Progression As F*cking 'Love The Way You Lie' And That One Song By Katy Perry."

Odd Future's Tyler 'Coming' For Kanye

Odd Future's Tyler 'Coming' For Kanye
West Coast rap collective Odd Future Wolf Gang Kill Them All, typically referred to as simply 'Odd Future,' have been making noise online, but Odd Future member and erstwhile frontman Tyler, the Creator decided to get a bit louder in a recent interview. Tyler made it plain that he has his eye on the spot of a certain chart-topping rapper/producer from Chicago.
"I'm coming for Kanye West's head because he's my competition, Tyler said during an interview at the mtvU Woodies. He then partially backpedaled, changing course to praise Kanye. "I'm a big Kanye West fan, and I also compose music and I rap and I direct videos, and I don't want him to think he's the only person that could do that... My competition isn't other upcoming rappers and s---. It's him."
That's it, kid. Aim high.
