50 Cent Talks Final Interscope Album

50 Cent Talks Final Interscope Album
50 Cent discussed his ongoing grievances with his label Interscope. The rapper is still focused on his upcoming fifth album; but he further emphasizes that this will be his final release with the label. He is frustrated with the way they've handled his career lately.
"It’s actually my final requirement. My fifth album and the final requirement for Interscope," 50 said. "I had some difficulties with the actual system,” he said. “There are people there that are afraid to lose their job; they’ve seen other people get fired. I think they’re afraid to make some decisions that need to be made right away, they just sit and look. […] We’ve had some conversations communicated to develop plans for different things and it’s not actually executed in the time plan that we’ve created. And I get frustrated and I start doing things, like I put the record out."
50 Cent says he's doing things his way from here on out.
"I condition my core audience to hear me a lot, because I perform at least two albums worth of material before I actually release the album. And when they don’t hear aggressive content, they turn their nose up at material, unless it’s already worked on radio,” he continued. "It doesn’t actually mean that I don’t like the company because all the success I’ve had in my career has been with Interscope records. It’s just a frustration at different points - like I had a song just go out and it was in their position, they were moving around to actually make the music video for it and then they go ‘ok, I don’t want that song no more’ because it’s been presented in the wrong way to the public. […] Then people go 'I don’t like this, I like this, I don’t know!’ - there’s no event to it. It’s not difficult when you’ve recorded 40 songs, it’s like so what? If you only have one song, you should just go jump off the song. Go get it."

Chelsea Handler Denies 50 Cent Sex Tape

Chelsea Handler Denies 50 Cent Sex Tape
Talk show host Chelsea Handler is denying any rumors of a sex tape featuring her and her one-time boo-thang, rapper 50 Cent. Chelsea says you won't be seeing her and Fiddy gettin' it in any time soon.
"There's no sex tape," Handler said in an interview with Esquire. "There never was a sex tape. I know that you want there to be one, but there isn't. [You don't?] You do."
Handler and 50 had a well-publicized (over-publicized?) affair last year, when they were spotted at various hot spots around the country getting cozy. Handler played coy for a long time before finally admitting that the two did briefly have an intimate relationship.

50 Cent On Album Delay

50 Cent On Album Delay:
50 Cent's follow-up to 2009's Before I Self Destruct has seen numerous delays and changes. 50 has been recording something for over a year, but he hasn't been able to keep any of his previously promised release dates. The rapper acknowledged that he's been focused on dropping the hottest album possible.
"I've worked longer on this album than any of my other projects," 50 explained in an interview. "I've had the opportunity to evaluate the things that I created initially, and go back and revamp things and change things around a bit. Both [Eminem] and [Dr.] Dre have had opportunities to critique themselves, when I was always on the shot clock. So this time, I get a chance to really make sure I feel like it's going to be the right music for this time period."

"@thatsshawtylo face looks like a pizza if, and only if, the toppings were herpes, cold sores and teh AIDS. Yeah I said it @50cent #d-swagger," a posted tweet. ""G-Unit AIDS Awareness... @thatsshawtylo Results comin in 15 Mins #datninja yeah i said it @50cent."
"AMBER ROSE NUDES ON DECK, SORRY WIZ I GOTTA MAKE IT DO WHAT IT DO," the tweets continued.

50 Cent Squashes Lil Kim Rumors

50 Cent Squashes Lil Kim Rumors
Despite Lil Kim's appearance onstage alongside 50 Cent at Birthday Bash in Atlanta this year, 50 is denying reports that the Queen Bee is officially signed with his label and crew.
"She's not actually signed to G-Unit," 50 explained in an interview. "We didn't even have discussions about that. I heard it, I heard people say it too. It was just like, there was no reason to give confirmation for something that didn't actually happen at all."
"Like, when people say Shawty Lo is signed to G-Unit, they think that he's actually signed an artist deal directly to G-Unit when the project that we're doing is a lot bigger," 50 added. "It's a joint venture."

50 Cent Talks Big

50 Cent Talks Big
50 Cent sounds confident in his upcoming album. But then again--50 always sounds confident. But this album has been delayed numerous times and even shelved indefinitely at one point--so how good can it be, really? According to Fif--it's very good.
But again--that's according to Fif.
"I can't wait till my album comes out. I think things will shift," 50 said. "Everybody who fell in love with what I fell in love with in hip-hop will respond to it because it's got the right tones on it...I did four songs in Detroit with [Eminem]. I did two with Just Blaze, a Boi-1da joint, and I did something with Alex Da Kid. I got some heat...We made two that are definite singles and the other two are the kinds of records that we been making, more aimed at my core audience, more aggressive, more of a different kind of energy to it...I say, which one makes me feel good when I hear it? That's the one I'm keeping."

50 Cent Not Bailing Out Max B

50 Cent Not Bailing Out Max B
Rumors surfaced late last week that rapper 50 Cent had plans to bail out the incarcerated Max B. Max is in prison serving a 75 year sentence following a murder and robbery conviction. 50 says he has no idea how the rumors got started.
"I have no idea what that is," 50 said when asked about a two million dollar bail. "Maybe one of Max B's friends started that. [Dame Grease] probably was thinking about it and said, '50's the person that would have it to do it.' And then [he] just said it. You know what I'm saying? Then people take it out of context. I haven't had any conversations with anyone about that."

50 Cent On Amber Rose Pics

50 Cent On Amber Rose Pics:
50 Cent has added his two cents to the Amber Rose naked picture controversy. Despite Rose claiming that the pictures were stolen and leaked without her knowledge, 50 questions whether or not she had no idea that they would one day surface. He points to the fact that, unlike most 'leaked' nude photos--these pics weren't spontaneous or taken with a camera phone.
"At least it didn't look bad," said 50 Cent to DJ Whoo Kid. "It looked good. Let me tell you something. Things like that don't hurt, that's promotion. That's publicity. You got to look at who a person was. [If it was] someone who came in that was completely, let's say, conservative, that would be a damaging blow..."
That was a camera that took those photos, that ain't no camera phone. You gotta know, you gotta have intention to have a picture taken with your fingers in your p***y. That may be interesting for you because you've been watching her -- because you saw her with Kanye [West]. [The other celebrity leaks,] those are telephone pictures. Look, if you have your picture taken of you when you're not aware of it, that's one thing. If you're taking a picture randomly, it's spontaneous, [it's] a camera picture. Her shoes change in the picture. It's different shoes. That means you're conscious, got up, changed the shoes and did it with a camera. You thought about it. So maybe she's taking the pictures for her significant other, maybe it's Wiz Khalifa's joint."

50 Cent Thanks Dre & Eminem

50 Cent Thanks Dre & Eminem
50 Cent is his own man and his own artist, but the Queens-born rapper can never forget the two mentors that helped him become the superstar that he is today. 50 shared his appreciation for Dr. Dre and Eminem and all that they've done throughout his career--and especially the faith that they had in him early on.
"You don't really expect to have someone come into your life... that you know has nothing but good intentions," said 50 of Eminem. "He made so much money selling records that he don't really have interest in a lot of the other stuff... So for me, they'll be asking me questions...about the deals I do away from music. For Dre, the big thing was the 'Beats,' the headset."
"I love Dre...Without 'In Da Club' and Dre's guidance on the first record...none of those other things would've happened!" 50 added. "That's the biggest record of my career still! Dre can be difficult at times, and not intentionally. He can be on his own and in his world...like the [headphone thing], we had to clear that up face-to-face, me and Dre, personally."

50 Cent Could Leave Interscope

50 Cent Could Leave Interscope
50 Cent's relationship with his label, Interscope, appears to be growing more and more tenuous by the day. Following the rapper's vocal complaints about the label regarding his forthcoming project--now pushed back to November--50 told MTV that he hasn't decided if he will return to the label once his current five-album deal is done.
"I don't know," 50 told MTV News. "It will all be clear in the negotiations following me turning this actual album in. And, of course, the performance and how they actually treat the work will determine whether you still want to stay in that position or not...It's not like you're gonna be able to make a project bigger than the actual project is, but if the songs are right and you have full support and you feel that support, why would you want to go anywhere else? If not, if you don't have that support, why would you want to sign to another system? In the financial state that I'm in, you just do it yourself."

50 Cent On Crossover Appeal:

50 Cent On Crossover Appeal:
50 Cent recently spoke to MTV about the difference between his career and his mentor/cohort Eminem. Despite the two being affiliated for years, 50 acknowledged that Em has had a different road than 50 Cent as he discussed the benefits and detriments of being a crossover artist in hip hop.
"You can't compare Eminem and 50 Cent's career on any level," 50 added. "Eminem doesn't know what the inside of Hot 97 looks like. He's never even had to go there. So the top 40 and crossover-radio platforms are detrimental to the success of an Eminem project, and for me to get to the top 40 or crossover space, I have to have music that performs so well on your Hot 97s and Power 106s of the world until it actually goes up to that point."

50 Cent's Interscope Frustration

50 Cent's Interscope Frustration
50 Cent has explained his recent grievances with Interscope and the release of his new single, "Outlaw." According to 50, the few months of iciness between himself, Dr. Dre and Interscope head Jimmy Iovine hampered the single's release for months. 50 lashed out Interscope previously via his Twitter page. In a recent interview, He explained why things had gotten bogged down.
"So I had the record I was ready to launch, and we sat down and everybody talked," he said. "What happens is, there are a lot of people involved in my actual launch, because its three parties; it's Shady, then you got Aftermath, then you got Interscope, and then you got me on my end. So by the time we got to go sit down with [Interscope chairman] Jimmy [Iovine], we talked a little bit, and then I ended up having to go see Dre, because we had the little issue, the confusion about the Twitter stuff."
"It's not necessarily Dre or Jimmy [holding up the process]; it's more the guys that they pass the responsibilities onto," he added. "It takes longer for people, because they'll be like, 'OK, we're gonna do this and we're gonna do that,' and the building will start having those conversations, but they're not actually moving at that point."
50 announced that he would also be appearing on Dr. Dre's next single, "The Psycho." The two have ended their dispute over 50's custom headphones--a dispute which many speculated centered on Dre's belief that 50's audio equipment brand would directly conflict with his.

50 Cent Delays Album Again

50 Cent Delays Album Again
50 Cent, after days of back-and-forths between himself and his label, Interscope, looks to be delaying his album yet again. The rapper's project has been shelved and/or delayed several times over the past two years, and the latest round of uneasiness between the two parties involved has resulted in the still-untitled LP being pushed back possibly to November 2011.
50 said as much on from his Twitter account this weekend.
"My headphones and my album coming in NOV," 50 tweeted to his fans, responding to a fans question about what he was going to do next. Given the amount of times his album has been delayed already, there is no certainty that this release announcement is official.

50 Cent's New Look

50 Cent's New Look
Fans and media were a little surprised when photos popped up online of rapper 50 Cent sporting a Bishop Eddie Long-esque curl. The Queens native hasn't given an explanation as to why he changed his look, but everyone is speculating that it could be for a movie role or part of 50's ongoing campaign to draw as much attention to himself as possible.
He's lost weight and sported a jheri curl for previous movie roles.
Global Grind wrote: "Not sure if it was the glistening sun, but it looks like there may have been a few light brown highlights in there too."
