Jennifer Hudson Explains Twitter Rant

Jennifer Hudson's Twitter war of words with a fan hit the Web and spread like wildfire. Now, the actress/singer is going on the record about why she did what she did. Hudson explains that people tend to believe they can be disrespectful to celebrities and still expect celebs not to react.

“I don’t know why, but somewhere along this weight loss people forgot that I am from Chicago," Hudson said on Tony Sculfield and the Morning Riot Show. "But it’s not even that. It’s to me--it’s when you know it’s me on there. I literally sit and I talk to my fans all the time, so you know it’s me and you know you’re talking to me. And I feel as though, don’t say nothing to me on Twitter that you not gonna say to my face. I don’t know, somewhere along the lines, people think they can talk to celebrities any kinda way--we are people, too. Just the same as you want your respect we want ours."

"It’s not just what you say but how you say it," she added. "So excuse me guys, I lost my celebrity religion for a second, give me a second and I’ll be right back.”

Jennifer Hudson's Twitter Beef With Fan

Oscar-winning actress Jennifer Hudson got into a heated back-and-forth with a fan on Twitter. The fan began the conversation by asking Hudson about her weight loss, but when she insinuated that Hudson had had more than just Weight Watchers to thank for her slim figure, Hudson went off.

"Thank u for your hate n clearly the gym aint working for u cuz u look a mess," Hudson fired back at the fan. "Watch what u say cuz I might have to buy a plane/flight n come show u some of my southside n then come back home to where your not!"

The fan didn't back down however.

"Child. You are so lame. Threatening to put hands on me is unbecoming," the fan said. "You're beginning to look stupid."

"Bitch u were a size 24, could only pull a gay man and you attack bcuz you're a size 0? #LETSNOT," the fan added.

Jennifer Hudson was frank and honest when asked about the changes in her career since she slimmed down. The Academy Award-winning actress doesn't believe she had to slim down to get roles--but to get certain A-list treatment. But she doubts that becoming thin helped her career.

"No, because I was doing OK before," Hudson told The Daily Mail. "But the truth is, so many more opportunities open up when you’re on the other side, as I am now. I’d no idea what I was missing out on. It’s like a whole other world. Suddenly every designer wants to dress you. It’s like, 'You look amazing! Please, choose a dress. Have a bag. And what about shoes?' I mean, wow!"

Jennifer Hudson On Her Old Size

Academy Award-winning actress Jennifer Hudson recently opened about her perceptions of herself prior to her losing weight and how she didn't realize she had a weight problem growing up.

“I never thought I was overweight. I thought my old look was pretty normal. That was how all the girls looked growing up in Chicago. I didn’t have any problem with it. It makes me smile to think back to myself when I did ‘Dreamgirls’ with Beyonce. I did see all these women in Hollywood, all very slim and I thought, ‘Wow, these ladies are very into themselves.’ I loved that I stood out in a room. You knew when you saw this woman it was Jennifer Hudson.”

The singer added that her friends Beyonce and Alicia Keys continue to rave about how great she looks.

Donald Trump Slams Rihanna, Says JHud Is A Better Singer

Donald Trump is not happy with Rihanna. Trump says he had agreed to pay Rihanna $500,000 to sing at a cancer fund-raiser at Mar-a-Lago, his private resort in Palm Beach, Fla., on Feb. 19, but she canceled at the last minute, saying she was sick, and was told by her doctors not to fly. But yet she was able to perform at the NBA All Star Game halftime show.

Trump told the Palm Beach Post:

“I thought [Rihanna bailing] was insulting to everyone,” Trump, 64, told the Palm Beach Post. “But for Rihanna to go to the [NBA] All-Star game and perform after she told us she was sick, that is just a lack of respect.”

But, nothing was missed. Jennifer’s a beautiful girl. She came on her day off even though she performs almost every night. She is an unbelievable talent, and her voice is better.”
