The Dream On His Divorce

The-Dream claims that his highly-publicized divorce from actress/singer Christina Milian had a profound effect on his music. Never known for being the deepest songwriter, he says that the pain fueled his art and gave his sound more emotion and range.

"It’s just allowed me to be more real," he says. "I’d rather be the bad guy than anybody else be the bad girl because I can handle it. It’s a bad thing that two people can break up, but the truth of the matter is that it happens all the time for different reasons. But what’s wrong with a public breakup is that they never really know the truth. And I won’t be the person who says it. I’m not going to be that type. If something breaks, it’s not something to celebrate.”

The singer-songwriter also addressed having suicidal thoughts following the end of his marriage.

“I think it was just how my mind works," he revealed. "You have so many things rushing through your mind and I was trying to figure out how to make it stop. It’s easy to look at someone and say there’s 80,000 different ways for you to deal with it. No. Maybe for you, but me having to one, be in control of every aspect of my life and two, loving people how I do and being so thoughtful… when certain things are out of control, if it’s the type of personality that I have, you start to lean towards the best way to make it end. Like what stops this for not only me, but everyone?”

The-Dream Too Good For Guests?

As The-Dream preps his upcoming album 1977, the singer/songwriter addressed speculation as to why he doesn't work with as many guest stars as many of his contemporaries. The-Dream says he struggles to find artists that fit into his vision.

"While I'm humble enough to ask for features it's really hard to get them," Dream added. "It's hard today to protect what you already have so some artists I see could fit perfectly on a record and change things. There is a fear that artists who are not song-writers face. And that fear is failure. And I completely understand but I have to at least ask. The people who end up usually on records that I've written or performed are more likely the ones without fear. I think it's my duty to push. But not everyone thinks so."

Christina Milian Getting Freaky In Miami?

Christina Milian was hanging out in South Beach this weekend with 'unofficial' couple Diddy and Cassie. According to Bossip, the trio of celebs and their entourage entered a posh nightclub through the back entrance on their way to VIP. Diddy got a lapdance from an unnamed blonde in the VIP section of the club. The blonde then walked over to a sitting Christina Milian and placed her skirt over C-Milli's head.

Bossip states that Christina didn't brush the woman off, but rather, 'seemed very comfortable in that position and did not move for quite some time.'

Guess all of that money from The-Dream has made Christina feel a little frisky. She left the party later on that night, still rolling with Diddy and Co.

The-Dream & Christina Milian Reunited?

Divorced couple The-Dream and Christina Milian were reportedly spotted in each others' company recently. The former Mr. and Mrs. Terius Nash were seen at the Wynn Hotel in Las Vegas this past weekend, according to Bossip.

Milian was in town for Michael Jordan's 10th Annual Michael Jordan Celebrity Invitational Celebration.

Milian and her superproducing former hubby split last year after photos surfaced of The-Dream in the Caribbean with another woman. There has been no official, public announcement of a reconciliation but sources are claiming the two are just 'having fun for now.' They do have a baby girl together.
