"The Show Goes On," the first official single from Lupe Fiasco's album Lasers has hit the two million copy mark. The single was released late in 2010 and has shipped double platinum.
For all of Lupe's discontent about the album and for all of the delays and controversy surrounding its release, Lasers has giving Fiasco the best commercial success and most attention of his entire career. The rapper's newfound commercial success and knack for stirring up controversy have put him on the pop culture radar like never before.
Lupe famously battled with Atlantic Records over the release and direction of the album. Since it's release, the rapper has seemingly been everywhere, from the MTV Movie Awards to FOX News' "The O'Reilly Factor."
