Young Money starlet Nicki Minaj is being sued by a street drummer who was featured in the documentary “Nick Minaj: My Time Now.” The street drummer, Michael Savely, says that his New Jersey drum tutoring business is suffering because he was featured in the doc. Savely says that he is a conservative and his clientele is also, and that his being affiliated with an artist that 'dresses provocatively, uses profanity and glorifies a specific lifestyle,' is hurting his business.
"The footage would misrepresent his connection with other artists whose style conflict with the one that he has developed,” the suit says. “[Savely] understands that the reason many of the parents of the students he teaches employ his services is because they can trust him to provide their children with something more modern yet not corrupt.”
It is unclear how much Savely is seeking, and according to NecoleBitchie, Savely has been seeking money for interviews. He appeared in the documentary in the opening sequence and it was for a few seconds.
